  1. In a 12 oz microwave-safe mug, use a fork to mix together egg, maple syrup, water, vanilla extract and salt.
  2. Add flour and cocoa powder and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips, if desired.
  3. Microwave for 1 1/2-2 minutes, until brownie has risen and is set. Let cool for a few seconds before enjoying.
